Now you know about 97% of what you need to use this system. There are no instruction booklets, and no funny unnamed F (function) keys. Everything is right there in front of you. A few comments on durability—membrane type keypads are the norm in this business. However, some administrative personnel have very long and fragile finger nails—the norm in their business. Rather than risk these costly appendages the owners use pencils, pens (hammers?) and any number of things ‘tools’ to press the keys. It doesn’t take long to poke holes in the overlay domes. Our keys are soft silicone rubber, ‘finger friendly’, so no tools are required. Also, the silicone keypad is very cheap to replace compared to the membrane type. Finally, the bezel (grill) legends can be customized to your facility at no extra cost! Will the others do that? NOPE! |
