Quantum Systems—Stations
ASCI has upgraded two different generations of Quantum systems. The older type (shown with a QII panel) was installed about 1986. We upgraded that system in 1997.
The newer type (lower left) was originally installed in 1986 and upgraded by them in 1991. In 1997 ASCI was contracted to replace all the controls. The lower photo shows one with our front panel. The two stations differ mostly in the controls—the mechanical parts inside differ little if any.
In these upgrades we:
oReplace all station controls/keypads/displays
oReplace pneumatic and ‘head diverter’ controls
oReplace photo optics throughout
oRemove the so called ‘double-bypass-storage’ devices and replace them with straight pipes between the head diverters (one pipe per diverter-pair)
oReplace the wind gate solenoids with pneumatic cylinders (next page)
